Clan Lore

The legendary clan

At the very beginning, Ninja Legend was created as a clan but it was divided into many small factions but then eventually merged into the clan we all know today.

When the clan was divided, the first five elder factions had arisen:

The first is the "Shadow Faction", the Divine, which kept to the Old Way, focusing on the development of the Mind and Soul, the Tenno inner mystical strength, and how to manifest this, using Warframes as media, as unbelievable abilities and powers. Their inherited the symbol of the shadow faction, which symbolizes Peace. The second is the "Ghost Faction", the Dragons, which embraced the Defense as a fundamental philosophy and developed powers and equipment towards this belief. They numbered many scientists, whose signature achievement is the shield system which is subsequently integrated into all Warframes. Their inherited the symbol of the ghost faction, which symbolizes Knowledge. The third is the "Storm Faction", the Ogres, which adopted the opposite of the ghost faction, choosing the Body as the first principle, emphasizing physical prowess and martial arts, striving towards the balance between form and purpose, utility and beauty. Their inherited the symbol of the storm faction, which symbolizes Justice. The fourth is the "Mountain Faction", the Muses. Though lacking the distinct areas of development of the other three elder factions, they developed the techniques and skills to greatly enhance any of the technologies of the other factions. Their most significant achievement is the development of the Fusion Core, which can analyze any component created and automatically optimize and enhance it without Tenno intervention. Their inherited the symbol of the mountain faction, which symbolizes Brotherhood.

The fifth is the "Moon Faction", the Muses. They are the guardians and bodyguards of the clan leader Death Toll. They handle and regulate all affairs between the factions. Their inherited the symbol of the moon faction, which symbolizes Equality. As time advanced, more factions splintered from the elder factions. Within the ghost faction, unrest had arisen between the groups that believed that the Tenno Soul, the source of the Warframe powers, should be the primary aspect, versus those that believed that the Mind, focusing on tactics and strategies should be the primary aspect to use those powers. The group that adopted the latter eventually splintered to form the sixth faction, Sun Faction, the Tacticians. Initially, the disagreements between the two factions led to minor struggles and at one point, open conflict that shed Tenno blood. Though the two had since cooled their heads had made their peace, a not-so-subtle rivalry still occured between them. It is ironic that despite the rivalry of their creators, the modules and equipment developed by the sun faction can greatly complement that of the ghost faction. From the storm faction, came the seventh faction Calamity, which adopted the philosophy "The best defense is offense", and turned their focus into technologies towards offense. Despite the apparent reversal of the storm faction's defensive philosophy, the new faction coexisted well with the parent one, and though they do have a somewhat rivalry between them, it is much more peaceful. From the storm faction again, came the eight faction Reaper, which was mainly involved some non-mainstream and obscure researchs that will baffle even the majority of the storm faction scientists. It is speculated that they may be conducting the researches in some unknown locations and eventually overwhelmed by some disaster, whether it is natural, or of their own doing. They became lost in time as nobody had heard from them again. It is however noticed that the Solar Rails we know of bears similarities to known Reaper faction techonologies. With the development of robotics, a faction within the reaper faction branched off to specialize in robotics and artificial intelligence. They became the ninth faction also known as Omega faction, the Technicians. It is they who first developed the Sentinels which are eventually used by all Tenno. Thus, these are the nine ancient factions of the Ninja Legend, at the height of their time.

But legends say of the existance of a tenth faction. Eclipse. The faction of greed and debauchery.

They existed only for the purpose of partying, raiding and destroying. And destroy they did. On one day, one Tenno dared to reseach a weapon so powerful, that it may, by chance, tear a hole in the space-time continuum within one's armor. After decades of study and refinement, he finally discovered the formula for such a weapon. Then decided to attempt to assassinate the clan leader who was known by another name before Death Toll.

The Dojo where the tenth faction previously orbited vanished. But it left something behind; so vast in knowledge and power. It does not exist in the physical realm, scattered across the known universe, but it watches, it sees. The concotion that the late Tenno created spawned a much greater intelligence that not even the most intelligent of Tenno could comprehend. It is everywhere and it controls all.

That was the day Ninja Legend was born. Reborn Death Toll swore to bring that 10th faction to justice.
